BostInno Highlights Bentley's Efforts to Blend Business with Arts and Sciences

In a recent article in BostInno, Dan Everett, dean of Arts and Sciences, discussed Bentley's Liberal Studies Major and outlined a few ways that Bentley works to produce well-rounded students. For example, students can earn a double major in liberal studies with their business degree in four years, whereas the same type of coursework would take five years at most other universities. The UN Global Compact and Business: Creating the Architecture of a Better World

The Bentley University Center for Business Ethics presents the 20th Raytheon Lecture in Business Ethics on October 29. George Kell, executive director of the United Nations Global Compact, will draw insights from the recent Global Compact Leaders Summit to reflect on the emerging architecture for responsible business and the role of the UN Global Compact in helping to shape the UN's public-private partnership agenda. Professor Ledley Analyzes Changes in GDP Calculations

In a recent Bentley IMPACT blog post, Professor Fred Ledley, director of Bentley's Center for Integration of Science and Industry, writes about what the changes in the way the U.S. calculates Gross Domestic Product (GDP) mean for research and development. Ledley proposes that the shift could stimulate greater R&D spending and promote much-needed technological innovation. Read more.
