Call for Nominations: Alumni Association Seeking New Directors for 2013-2015 Term

The Bentley Alumni Association is expanding its global governing board and seeks nominations for individuals interested in two-year director positions (July 2013 - June 2015, with the possibility of renewal). Candidates should be active, inolved members of the alumni community who desire to take their volunteerism for Bentley to the next level and work to foster a strong and engaged alumni community. Embracing Change: An Imperative for the Advancement of the Accounting Profession

The Bentley University Alumni Association and the Bentley University Department of Accountancy's Advisory Board present a special event with Richard J. Caturano CPA, CGMA '74, MST '85, current chairman of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. At the event, Rich will draw from his unique vantage point as both chairman of the AICPA and executive managing partner of McGladrey LLP, Boston, Mass., to share his vision for the future of the accounting profession. Beyond Business as Usual

Alumni and accepted students gathered at Goldman Sachs in New York City to discuss the Bentley education as a foundation for entrepreneurship. Alumni had the opportunity to network with other like-minded Falcons, learn about Bentley's lifetime career services from Barbara Hyle, director of alumni career services, and receive firsthand accounts of how the Bentley experience shaped and empowered alumni entrepreneurs. Business Ethics Symposium: Complimentary for Bentley Alumni

The Bentley Center for Business Ethics and Bentley Alliance for Ethics and Social Responsibility present the ninth annual Bentley Global Business Ethics Symposium, sponsored by the State Street Foundation. The event brings together international academicians, corporate and civil society leaders and media to explore best practices and challenges in business ethics and ethics education. The Center for Business Ethics has offered to waive the registration fee for Bentley alumni. Learn more about the program or contact Tony Buono to register.

Jorge Moran to Deliver Graduate Commencement Address

Jorge Moran, Santander U.S. country head and president and CEO of Sovereign Bank, will deliver the keynote address at the Bentley University Graduate School of Business 38th annual commencement ceremony on Saturday, May 18, 2013. Moran will receive an honorary doctor of commercial science degree at the ceremony. Read more.

Sponsorship Matters: Creating Effective Programs to Advance Women

Bentley's Center for Women and Business will host the next in a series of best practice forums on May 7, 2013, at Bentley University. The discussion will focus on the fact that despite gains in middle and senior management, women hold just 3.6 percent of Fortune 500 CEO positions. The forum will be tailored to senior executives (both men and women) who can drive change in their workplaces. Register to attend.
