Falcons Enter the Shark Tank

Bentley's Corporate Immersion Institute and the Greater Boston Chapter of the Alumni Association are proud to present the inaugural Bentley Shark Tank event. On March 25, alumni and parents are invited to campus to watch as select innovative startups present their business plans and vision for their companies. The Corporate Immersion Institute is involved with a vast group of entrepreneurs, and the Bentley community will have exclusive access. Most companies are in fundraising mode; introductions will be made for community members who wish to be involved. Register today.

Research Questions Millennial Preparedness Gap

At the launch of Bentley's PreparedU project on January 29, the university released the results of its comprehensive study of millennials' preparedness for workplace success. Included in the outcomes: more than half of business decision-makers give colleges and universities a "C" or lower on preparing recent college grads for their first jobs. Result highlights include a white paper, infographic storybook and more. On the day of the release, more than 75 alumni attended a reception with President Larson to discuss the launch. Class of 2013 Boasts 98% Placement Rate

Based on knowledge from 95 percent of the Class of 2013 six months after graduation, 82 percent are employed and 16 percent are currently attending or planning to attend graduate school full time. The survey provided other encouraging information, including: 58 percent obtained their full-time employment through Bentley's career services offerings, and that the median starting salary for class members was $50,000.
